Bath Bomb 101 — How to Get the Most Out of Every Soak
There's a right way and a wrong way to use a bath bomb. Most people do it the wrong way and wonder why the experience felt kind of… meh. Let's fix that.
Water temperature matters more than you think. Too hot and you'll strip your skin's natural oils and dry yourself out. Too cold and the bath bomb won't fully dissolve. Aim for warm — around the temperature of a hot cup of tea held against your skin. Comfortable, not scalding.
Drop it in slowly. Don't just toss it in from across the bathroom. Hold it just above the surface of the water and let it go gently. This gives you the full fizzing experience and lets the oils and butters disperse evenly through the water.
Soak for at least 20 minutes. You need time for the skin-loving ingredients to actually absorb. Set a timer, put on some music, and actually relax. The point isn't just the fizz — it's what happens during the soak.
Make one bath bomb last two baths. Yes, really. Cut your bath bomb in half with a sharp knife before use. Store the other half in a zip bag away from moisture. You'll get two great baths for the price of one.
Moisturize immediately after. Don't skip this step. Pat dry (don't rub) and apply body butter while your skin is still warm. The bath bomb preps your skin, the body butter seals it. Together they're unbeatable.
Our bath bombs — including the Bath Bomb Heart and Kids Donut — are handmade with skin-nourishing ingredients, not just colorants and fragrance. They're made to actually treat your skin, not just put on a show.
