The Grapevine Collection — Why Grape Seed is One of the Best Things You Can Put on Your Skin
When people think of skincare ingredients, they think of vitamin C, retinol, hyaluronic acid. Grape seed rarely makes the list — but it should be at the top of it.
What is grape seed extract? It's derived from the seeds of wine grapes — the part that usually gets thrown away. But those tiny seeds are packed with some of the most powerful antioxidants found in nature, including a compound called OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) that is 20 times more potent than vitamin C and 50 times more potent than vitamin E as an antioxidant.
What does that mean for your skin? Antioxidants fight free radicals — the environmental stressors (sun, pollution, stress) that break down collagen and cause premature aging. Applying grape seed to your skin is like giving it a shield.
It's also incredibly lightweight. Unlike heavier oils, grape seed oil absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling. It's suitable for all skin types including oily and combination skin, and it won't clog pores.
It helps with uneven skin tone. Grape seed has natural astringent properties that help tighten pores and even out skin tone over time with regular use.
Our Grapevine Collection — including our Grape Scented Handcrafted Soap, Spring Grape Dupe Soap, and Strawberry Vine Garden Soap — was inspired by exactly these benefits. Made by hand in small batches in Vallejo, California, with real ingredients your skin can actually use.
